Dexter + Theo = Lots of Laughs

I don't think I laughed so much at a photo shoot as I did yesterday with Dexter and Theo. Their facial expressions and whimsical persona kept me on my toes. We got tons of great shots, these are some of my favorites. It was a true pleasure to spend about two hours with this family, they even picked me up! What service! I hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as I did taking them. God Bless-

20 month old Triplets + 4 year old brother = CRAZY FUN!

Busy, Busy, Busy! These are the words that describe 20 months old triplets! I had such an awesome time taking little Zayden, Bryton, Jayaunna, and older brother Tayton pictures that before I knew it I had rattled off over 300 shots! Keeping them busy was the key so we went from goldfish, to worms, to watching ducks on the pond, to eating juice, sticky watermelon, to a ride in my wagon; so there wasn't a dull moment. I want to say a huge "God Bless You!" to these children's parents Nick and Rachel. They are truly wonderful people and are doing an unbelievable job raising these kids. I hope you all love these pictures!

Wedding Photography

Here are a few pictures I took while shadowing a local photographer here in Sioux Falls(Matt Schuldt). This was my first experience with wedding photography and the few hours I was shooting, I LOVED IT! It was so humbling to be involved in this process, words just can't describe it. I felt at ease helping document this very special day that bride and groom will treasure for the rest of their lives. I am hoping to add some weddings to my schedule in the upcoming year, if you know of anyone who is getting married drop them my name. I'd love to document their day.

Precious Peyton

Looking into precious 6 months old Peyton's eyes told me: yes, she is a happy, loved baby, but wasn't quite sure of that big camera pointing in her direction. Peyton smiled at me mostly when the camera wasn't in front of my face, thank goodness she thinks her daddy playing peek-a-boo is worth some smiles. I actually love pictures where a baby/child is thinking or playing, not actually smiling directly at the camera. There were tons of great photographs of Peyton, I couldn't choose just 2 or 3 so enjoy!

A Sunny Saturday

Yesterday we spend the afternoon at my in-laws. We picked a few containers of raspberries, peas, green beans, and onions then relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful day God had blessed us with. The kids road the four-wheeler, fed the cats and horses, we played whiffle ball and that outdoor bean bag game, sat in the hot tub, and ended the gorgeous night having a bond fire and roasting marshmallows. During the course of this afternoon I managed to sneak each child away and take some pictures of them in Grandma's flower gardens. The scenery was just beautiful and the sky looked pretend, but I assure you that these are true backgrounds. It is just amazing how beautiful our surrounding are and that God as given it to us to enjoy; today our family truly enjoyed his precious gift! I hope you have a chance to relax and take in all the beauty that God gives us everyday.

4th of July

Here you can see the sun catching my lens, it was getting close to sun set. I like the way this angle gives some interest to this picture.

Here I had my older kids and husband stand directly in front of the sun making them a silhouette. I love this picture, especially how my sons is looking at his dad.

This is me and my youngest daughter. Finally, you can see who is behind Kristi Shanks Photography! Hope you enjoy.
