Baby Allegra- newborn

What a beautiful name! Being a former teacher I have to say that I never had a little girl by the name Allegra, very unique. I had a wonderful time taking these newborn pictures of little Allegra. I just love to photograph newborns and to try new props and ideas with them. I am excited to be getting (hopefully) some new pods and baby hammocks in the next couple of months (thank you Anna) to use with my newborn sessions. I can't wait until you can see all the session pictures. God Bless- Kristi

Josie's 1 yr. pictures

I had so much fun taking little Josie's 1 yr. pictures. Josie thought it was way more fun to climb up and down my stairs than take pictures, but we did manage to get a few awesome pictures of her. I love the little tutu you brought, it's just adorable! Towards the end we got her big brother CJ in a few pictures, he was the opposite and loved my camera. There are many more pictures for you to see! I'll see you tomorrow night. God Bless- Kristi

Baby Cakes Plan- updated 1/26

Some clients have asked about my Baby Cakes Plan. Basicallly, the Baby Cakes plan is for 5 sessions in one year since that baby's birth. If you choose this plan, you pay for the first four sessions (1 hour each, $60 each session), but the fifth session (1 hour) is FREE! It is recommended that photographs be taken at these times: Maternity and/or Newborns (7-10 days old), 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, & 12 months old. If you need more than the one hour session, it is $15- for every 15 minutes thereafter or $115- for 2 full hours. You can get more information on my website: www.kristishanksphotography.com

As with all sessions you will receive a few package prints with your session fee, please refer to my website for specific packages, then you have the option of purchasing additional pictures or buying a image CD with printable rights. All prices of prints and image CD's are on my website.

I do have a in-door studio in my home and use the same studio lights as Harold's Photo Studio uses here in Sioux Falls. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a session, please call me at 941-2554 or e-mail me at www.kshanks@sio.midco.net

Selah- Newborn Pics.

I was so excited to finally meet you little Selah. I have been waiting to take these pictures since I took your mom's maternity pictures over a month ago. You have a wonderful name, one that has special meaning from the Bible.
I just got this new cocoon and had to try it on baby Selah. She loved it! She was sleeping so well in it we hated to take her out, but did. Big brother Tait did a great job holding his new sister and couldn't resist giving her a kiss. So glad I could be apart of Selah's first photo session experience, she did awesome. Hope you love the pictures! Gob Bless- Kristi

Kade - 3 months

Wow, this is the 3rd time I've gotten the privilege to take your pictures. You are growing up so fast, but are still as mild mannered as ever. I remember taking your newborn pictures and you slept through the entire hour and a half session. I love the picture of you holding your head up on the white sheep skin and also the one of the teddy on your lap. I hope your mom and dad can find a few favorites to hang up in your new house. I am ordering one of your newborn pictures to display at a Trade Show I am doing in April (SME Women in Business at the Sioux Falls Convention Center April 27, 2010). I'm excited to see what it will look like with the chunky gold frame I picked out, I'll have to show your mom when I get it done. God Bless- Kristi

Sully- 6 Months

Sully, your mom has great taste in clothes and awesome ideas in props! Beth, you have the eye to being a photographer yourself. Of course, I love taking pictures of return clients and seeing how much the children have changed since our last session. Even tough I get the privilege of seeing Sully at church, there is never enough time to hold him and snuggle him. We are praying for this little guy and his family as they are about to come head on with the first of many surgeries for little Sully. His mother put together an awesome cookbook as a benefit for Sully and they are selling them for $15. Here is her e-mail if you are interested and pass the word: bethannnagel@hotmail.com I know the first 700 she ordered flew out the door, so they are on there 2nd order. If you have time say some special prayers for this little guy, especially over Easter as they travel to Chicago to being the first of many surgeries. We Love you Sully! God Bless-

Love the drool!

It seems like yesterday that I was taking your newborn pictures! You are growing so fast! You did an awesome job taking all these pictures. It isn't easy when silly Kristi pulls out new props to try on you. Look at how strong you are at holding up your head. I guess you figured you'd rather hold it up than lick the sheep fur. Hope your mommy and daddy can find some of these portraits to treasure, these are just a few of my favorites. God Bless-

Josh + Marcy = Engaged!

OK, I'll try not to call you Chad anymore. Not really sure where that came from anyways. I just finished editing your engagement pictures and there are tons of great ones. You'd ever know that is was 0 degrees out with windshield at -15. You two were both troopers trudging through the snow and braving the cold. I love the shot of your mugs steaming from the cold air, very cool. I'm looking forward to photographing your wedding in July. God Bless- Kristi
